Since May 2011 the KOF Economic Barometer has seen only one direction: downwards. In comparison to November (0.34, revised from 0.35), the Barometer fell by 0.33 points, and now stands at 0.01. Compared to November, the downward trend in December has weakened slightly. The current KOF Economic Barometer signals that year-on-year growth of Swiss Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is likely to stagnate in the coming months.
